Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Telemetry Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night - 12x4 - 7 PM to 7 AM Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year in telemetry (inpatient only) License: Current RN License (eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri) Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA) only - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (may be submitted without but must obtain prior to start) Must-Have: - 1 year of telemetry experience - Ability to float on a rotational basis Job Description: - Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care. - Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care. - Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. - Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. - Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. - Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and service standards. - Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. - Stand and walk most of the time on duty, with a significant amount of bending and stooping. - Lift and turn patients with assistance as required. - High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids. - Meet unit-specific physical demands, including push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. - Work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequencies according to patient care requirements.
