The incumbent provides oversight and management of operational, regulatory, and business processes across the Springfield perioperative departments. The position leads their departments in facilitating change, fostering innovation and self-development to achieve excellence in operations, patient safety and quality. Excellent communication skills, leadership ability, time management, finance, and problem solving skills required. Primary focus on extended hour procedure areas.Job RequirementsEducationPreferred: Masters Degree in the Health Care Field or Business AdministrationExperienceRequired: At least 5 years nursing leadership experiencePreferred: Previous management experience in a complex perioperative environmentSkillsMust be able to work effectively with staff, other departments within CoxHealth and external agenciesMust have the ability to take initiative and to exercise good judgment and decision-makingCritical thinking, conflict management, negotiation and Personnel developmentRepresents the departments on several process improvement, standardization, and regulatory committeesOperates strategic plan by setting and monitoring key performance measures and goalsDetermines scope of care or service in relation to values, mission, and strategic plan of the institutionWorking knowledge in human relations, customer service, inventory management, and budget managementAbility to problem solve and work with multiple people while meeting numerous requests and deadlinesGoal oriented with initiative and potentials for self-development.
